Rokko has become a cooperative, and we have chosen to shape and carry it together. Our aim is to create a radical, feminist, soft, and queer place in our society, one that opposes all capitalist market logic. This space will serve as a sanctuary for people to catch their breath, discover new things, read, plan, make new friends, and dare to hope. We strongly believe that Ghent is a free, rebellious, and generous city that deserves a place like rokko, and we are proud to be a part of it.
You can become a rokko cooperant and join us in bringing marginalised communities to the centre. We are dedicated to creating positive change in both literature and people's lives, and we need your help. You can purchase a share for as little as 200 euros. Our goal is to raise between 150,000 to 250,000 euros this year to ensure a successful and sustainable future for rokko. Join us in making a difference!
We are currently working on establishing rokko as a bookstore and coffee shop, with a team of six people. If 500 individuals join us as cooperative members, we will be able to make Rokko a permanent fixture in the community. We are excited to work together with all of you to make this a reality.
